I just went through the Oscar nods and I wasn't really surprised by anything at all. Except that Jon Stewart is hosting. That is pretty cool. Oh and for all the hype "History of Violence" once garnered it got pretty much shut out save for William Hurt (How do you mess that up?) for Supporting Actor

I wonder if the decision to show both of the actresses breasts (even though it didn't seem very neccessary to the plot) was to just De-Gay the film a bit?

perhaps.. but i think since they were showing them being gay, they had to show them faking "straight" too... and both scenes did reflect their characters well. but yeah probably just to make the uptight alpha males feel a little more comfortable in the theater
