- the catch off the bleachers was epic. Even if it was under false pretenses.
- tax base? I'm amazed there are that many kids in Mystic Falls High!
and no way is Katherine dead, she was just... incapacitated. I presume Mikael isn't ALSO a ripper in addition to vampire eating and hunting... lololol

I tragically believe you're right about Tyler. Although I suppose they'd have to find another werewolf to replace him, so maybe not... hopefully not, he's too bodilicious to die. :(
Like I just spent the majority of the episode wanting to punch him in the face which is not a reaction Stefan has ever inspired in me before Oh man, this makes me so sad. I wanted to read a few episode reactions before watching the epi because I was dreading it and this just makes me not want to watch it at all. I think I need to take a break from the show for a while, I can't deal with this plot-device-Stefan.
Aw, just to bring another opinion into this... Ripper!Stefan amused me a lot and his scenes were my favorite thing of the entire episode. It's easier when you focus on him in the here & now and not will happen in the future.
I found him very entertaining; everyone else I wanted to punch in the face but not him.
I refuse to believe Katherine is dead, too, if only because she needs to show up so people can complain at her for her "brilliant" idea of letting that guy loose. :-) And also, of course, because she's awesome.

I loved Ric training Elena. Our girl was seriously awesome in this episode. I cheered for her multiple times.
I'm still thrown by the fact that only one year has gone by for two seasons. I couldn't make it work last night; I kept thinking "continuity error". It's only until someone pointed out that allows them to keep Elena & co in high school for another two years that I got it.
Also NOTE TO SHOW, must we always resort to scantily clad women having blood orgies when we want to demonstrate that a vampire = evil? I mean, Stefan's evilness came across pretty loud and clear in the episode, we did not also need the game of twister.
Lol. Because I am of the Stefan Is Faking camp, I interpret this as him using Damon as a model for how to be evil. That way, he can ignore his own inner ~evilness, as he so likes to do. Still though, I feel you--there are other ways. (Also, Isobel's drunken orgy can also be her emulating Damon. So, explanations explanations.)
ELENA NEEDS TO GET AWAY FROM ALL THE SALVATORES WHO ARE UP IN HER PERSONAL SPACE RIGHT NOW. STAKE THEM ALL. ESPECIALLY STAKE STEFAN AGAIN BECAUSE IT WAS GREAT.
I literally burst out laughing when I got to that part and people were lookin' at me weird. It was a great time.
so throwing in this weird high school jealousy plot with D/E made me go O_oYes indeed. I am so proud of myself though, for not either being angry or
