*Pets Emo Ten* I'd like to think that last night's game was just a tiny blip in what is turning out to be an awesome season. Please hockey gods, keep them on the winning side!

I could never get over the fact that polygamy is still around. No one in there right should say that this is not criminal.

Bristol Palin on DwtS is a perfect example of epic fail. The whole thing has me doing this

lol that is a good way to put it. Yeaaaaaaaaah Buffy.

Vampire Diaries is pretty cool,I've watched some of the episodes and I'm going to try to catch up.

The show is AMAZING. At some point it gets in your head and then won't leave.

WHAT ARE THEY EVEN DOING OMG?

2. I find polygamy interesting, because it's one of those things that, in a perfect world, I'd be in favour of because, you know, consenting adults. But in this world, it basically just seems to be that women (and girls) get coerced and abused by older men.

My BFF knows quite a lot about this topic and my understand is that it comes down to the fact that polyamory and polygamy deal with two different things - polyamory is about adults having consenting relationships with more than one person whereas polygamy is a religious practice where many young woman are forced into marriage to one (usually older) man.

I always figured polygamy was multiple partner marriage, whereas polygyny/polyandry are the specifically gendered terms? But I think that's from the technical definition, as opposed to its most common usage. We don't really see it in the news much over here, though, so I am sort of going by stuff I read online.

From what catlein has told me, polyamory can include multiple partners of either sex whereas polygamy tends to be one man married to many, and often underage, girls. In Canada, polygamy most often occurs on religious compounds - so I imagine that the main thrust of the pro-polygamy side will be religious freedom. It could very well be a successful argument, but I am skeptical it could survive a section 1 analysis (i.e. the public good in keeping the law outweighs the infringement on the rights of certain individuals).

...sorry to but in, but why is the h/hr fandom having an emotional crisis? They got one more scene than we ever thought they would (since it isn't in the books) and the scene that is in the books was a lot more "revealing" than the book describes. These are good things, aren't they?

Ya, I get it. I've had a few ships like that where you think you are at piece with never seeing them together and then the tiniest sliver of hope totally screws with your brain. When I first started reading the books I was a H/Hr shipper myself, but as they books went on and I realized it wasn't going to go that way... I had to force myself to let it go and enjoy where the story was going. *sigh*

I don't think so either - I wouldn't be surprised if they're able to make out a case on freedom of religion grounds, but I'd be surprised if the court finds that the violation of their individual rights outweighs the public good in maintaining the provision. We will see though. XD

I'm secretly side-eyeing these Vampire Diaries people for taking valuable time away from HOCKEY!!!!

I was USELESS last night after the game. It took me ALL NIGHT to finish something that should have taken 2 hours max. I need to give my team a big HUG!

lol fandoms come and go but my love for the Habs is FOREVER.

Omg, I was so depressed. I couldn't even respond to emails.

Also wtf has Cammy done to JM that he got stuck on the line with Gomez. NO ONE DESERVES THAT. D:

I think JM is trying to see if ANYONE can make Gomez produce, and since the Toronto game showed that Cammy can be a line all by himself, he is a PERFECT linemate for Goblin.

lol that is a great point

But it still seems so mean to move him from playing with Plek to playing with Gomez. Every time Gomez touches the puck, momentum dies.
