I. I had the best Canadian water cooler moment yesterday. I was filling up my water bottle after using the gym, and this random middle-aged man pointed (in a non-creepy way) to my water bottle was all like "Is that your team? :D :D :D" (there was a Habs logo on my water bottle) and I was all like "Why yes it is :D :D :D" and then we spent five ( Read more... )

I. I think you should know that it's your duty to keep me up to date on how the Habs go, since if I ever run into the hot guy in the pub who said "Go Habs go!" when he saw my scarf again, I can make intelligent conversation and not look like a faker.

II. *CLINGS TO DOCTOR WHO* I should probably watch Being Human. Or even Merlin s2. Or finish the SJA. Or Children of Earth. FRANCES, WHY AM I UP TO DATE ON SUPERNATURAL BUT NOT ON ANY OF THESE?

III. I actually haven't watched any more HIMYM since this particular plot twist was told to me. My sister has, but she is in love with the actor who plays Marshall, so she has her own reasons.

I. Mostly "they suck" sums them up this season. Also, they can't seem to win at home. XD

II. *CLINGS WITH YOU* It is really hard to get into stuff that isn't Doctor Who, but I do legitimately like Being Human a lot. Russell Tovey! :D

III. I find your sister's reasons acceptable.

i. WELL KEEP ME POSTED. As long as there is one other person who is aware of them, I MUST BE VIGILANT.

II. Is it bad that I'm now shipping Jack/Alonzo far more than I ever did Jack/Ianto? TEN APPROVES, SO IT MUST BE GOOD.

III. He is not my type, but I can appreciate the awesome. Also, he is the most appealing bloke in HIMYM.

IV. Whenever you use that icon (which is often, since it is your default), I feel obliged to respond with one of my own. PRETTY SMILE. :D :D :D

i. Also there's a bit of a goaltender controversy. So you could just throw out the question "What do you think on Halak versus Price?" and I am sure the other person will be able to talk for a very long time.

ii. I DO TOO.

iii. Yes. This. I do not mind someone watching for Marshall.

iv. :D :D :D I love my new icon. *pets smiling Rose*

Oh, I love Being Human. It's one of the best shows I've seen. I am so eager for season 2.

I know what you mean about HIMYM which I only started watching because people (i.e. you) were talking it up on my f-list and I was stuck in bed for three weeks. I was so happy when they put Barney and Robin together and they both seemed to become such better people. I knew it wouldn't last but I had hoped Barney would have grown from it and stayed a better man. Nope.

I know! So exciting. Something to replace the hole in my heart Ten left behind. XD

THIS. The whole reason for breaking them up seems to be because they think a womanizer is way more hilarious, and I just... don't hold to that.

Exactly. I thought Barney was far funnier trying to find his way through a relationship and being so completely clueless as to how to make it work.

YAY FOR AWESOME WATER COOLER MOMENTS.

And I keep wanting to watch HIMYM but somehow lose interest at the last minute. :| And womanizers are never appealing, ew.

XD

The show was really great for S1-S4, but yeah, things really went downhill this year.

I've fallen out with HIMYM as well, pretty much after I read the interview with that writer over the whole Barney/Robin thing. (Which is more "meh" then "FLOUNCE" for me.)

Yeah, it's definitely been kind of "meh" for me for a while, but the more they talk about how great it is that womanizing Barney is back, the more I go HUMPH.

I feel as though discussing hockey with a stranger while hovering around the water fountain at the gym is basically a Perfect Canadian Moment.

I love discussing sports with people I don't know. It's a bizarre sort of bonding thing (of course, the one time I did discuss sports with someone I didn't really know, we were both drunk. It was still a very passionate conversation about Andy Murray)

Being Human! I need to watch that! I may be bad and wait until after this season is over to watch it, just because I have no time.

I've watched... maybe one episode since Robin and Barney broke up? And yeah, I haven't seen anything that entices me to pick it back up again. It was really interesting watching my flist the past year because everyone got really, really into HIMYM, it reached this fever pitch, and then Robin and Barney broke up and no one mentioned it again. It was very odd. (I recently realized that the reason I couldn't get into HIMYM last year is because I can't get into sitcoms that are really...character-driven isn't the right ( ... )

So good! Russell Tovey is so adorable in it.

I got annoyed with HIMYM (and The Office) because it got to the point that I couldn't skip an episode anymore, and I like sitcoms because they're my no ( ... )
