I. The city is finally clearing the snow off my street which is exciting since it implies I can walk on the sidewalk again tomorrow. It's actually sort of cool - they come along in these monster tractor looking machines which sucks up the snow and then dumps it in a truck which then wheels it away to... IDK, someplace that is not here. DRIVE AWAY, ( Read more... )

Heh. My one hope for Moffat is that he maybe won't shove his own companion to the side whenever he writes a script.

(What? I've shown growth on the subject! Usually I just make spitting noises and follow it up with, Poor Eleven. I would probably like you so much more if you had another writer.)

Yeah, he had a bad habit of doing that during the RTD years, didn't he?

Ten's arc was wrapped up so nicely for me, though, that I kind of want to just... start freshly with Moffat and judge the show as it is.

But a fresh start is the fair way to do it! That's crazy talk. XD

DRIVE AWAY, SNOW. DRIIIIVE.

Heeeee. That is really awesome though.

Dazzle me, Steven Moffat.

DO NOT USE THE "D" WORD. It reminds me of Twlight.

I'm really hopeful about S5. I always hear such good things about shows Moffat was showrunner for, so I think that bodes good things. And Matt Smith is so damn adorable. (Following a tumblr called teamelevenftw has encouraged this thought. I mean, really, how can you not love him? It's impossible.)

OH, MERLIN. I totally get what you mean about falling in love with Arthur and Gwen. I never wanted to ship it, and now I'm just going "Maybe she will just be under an EVIL SPELL when she cheats with Lancelot and all will be forgiven! And there will be a big group hug!"

Weirdly, I'm all BAH THE COMPANION IS TOO YOUNG (probably because I want to spend the rest of my life loving on Donna and Wilf), but I keep forgetting that Susan was like fifteen or something. WHO KNOWS.

But I sort of love Matt Smith. He seems gregarious and adorable and I have no idea if I like him AS THE DOCTOR, but I get a good vibe from him generally speaking. So.

Welcome to season 5! NOW WITH THIRTEEN WHOLE EPISODES!

Susan may have been 15, but weren't there also two grownup companions along with them? Barbara and some guy whose name I can't remember and don't have time to look up right now?

I do like Matt Smith, though. Even if I think the poor guy has absolutely no CLUE whatsoever about what he's gotten himself into.

True -- Barbara and Ian. For some reason I always forget that they started in the first episode too.
