BAT and future

BAT was my best finish there since I won division B in 2007. Not bad considering my first two games were 342-505 loss to the other Bradley and 297-509 loss to Scott L. Overall I had some word knowledge issues but I didn't let them bother me, plus I won a couple of challenges too. I had a crazy game in round 14 where I was losing by 78 in the ( Read more... )

Well yeah I wasn't sure if I would qualify for Can Am again so I had to take the opportunity when it was there.

There's a slight chance I'd be interested in the room for Kate's tournament. I'm really not sure yet, though... my work schedule is impossible to predict. Don't hold your breath waiting for me.

I was thinking of Montreal, but now I'm thinking of maybe playing OWL at the Arden to try and get an (ironic) peak rating for worlds? Who knows. I <3 poutine.

That's probably a good idea. Anything you can do to avoid a July trip to Akron would be a good thing... no offense to the folks in Akron. :) I thought about it myself but my TWL rating is not high enough to even try it. I thought about trying to get 30 games for a Collins qualifying rating but I don't think that would happen either.

I'll try not to take it personally. But you'd miss the Barberton Chicken, chicken so good it gets its wikipedia article. One of the planned events is a trip to Belgrade Gardens for the best fried Chicken anywhere

I will probably be there, since I won't qualify on peak rating. The fried chicken sounds good.

American is having a sale right now. I bought mine a few days ago for $259 RT, flying in Thursday. If you need to fly Friday, it's in the low 400s.

Wow thanks! I thought I looked last week but I don't think I considered flying in on Thursday instead of Friday. I just made my reservation so I'm all set. So I'm going to Nationals after all!

Just booked mine too!

Not signed up for the tournament itself, since I don't have a hotel room yet, but the flight part is all set.
