Knitting For Charity

Grant got a hat and blanket when he was in the NICU that volunteers knitted. The hat was great because all of the hospital hats were too big on his preemie head. We ended up using that one all the time rather than any of the other 500 baby hats.

Where in VA are you supposed to be going?

We own a double lot in a campground on the Eastern Shore - in Horntown, VA. We're about 15 minutes from Assateague Island. This is our second year there, and we love it. Except the mosquitos. My family is from the Eastern Shore, and I still have family in Richmond.

I love the idea of knitting for the premies, and for the kids in the peds ward. I was going to get involved with the Linus Project, but their stipulations on the blankets are too tight, and they throw away blankets that don't fit the exact measurements. Too much of a waste!

Oh fun :) I'm jealous! I don't miss living in Richmond, but I do miss going to family's places on the Rappahanock/Chesapeake Bay (Urbanna and Deltaville).
