Knitting For Charity

Apr 04, 2008 07:39

I was asked yesterday to do some charity knitting.  It's an interesting project.  They are looking for fingerless gloves/armwarmers for pediatric patients to help protect their IVs so they don't accidentally pull them out.  I'm currenly working on a pair of these for myself (an easy 2X2 rib with a buttonhole for the thumb).  They are from knitty, and called the Voodoo pattern.

I'm also going to start knitting/crocheting blankets to be donated to the NICU.  Something to keep the hands occupied.

I swear it has rained every day this week.  My sinuses and my knee are both protesting in anger.

We were supposed to go down to VA this weekend to work on the trailer, but it's supposed to rain until Sunday, and I don't want to be trapped in the trailer with no where to go while Mr. G is working.  That, to me, is a fate worse than death.  Besides, he can't really work in the rain, so we'd just be sitting around watching TV.  I can save myself $60 in gas by staying home and watching TV.

trails end, craftiness
