[Leans back, waits while Vash is stuck in the past. Explained a few things indeed. He breathes smoke while he mulls it over. Knives was a lot like Yuber, then, on that front. Saw things that were human as little bugs. That was it, wasn't it? But how did it end up like that?
He doesn't say any more, because there aren't any questions. Vash didn't know why Knives flipped ideals, don't know how it all went to hell. So... there was noting else he could question.]

Her hopes and dreams won't go down without a fight then. Even if that planet likes to wrestle the idea of peace, I think... it can get better...
[Slowly, very slowly. There has to be a point where it does, or else they'll all just fade away and leave it a lifeless world again. He doesn't like to think that way. But it does cross his mind.]

That's what I'm hoping for, anyway.
[Wolfwood's killed a lot of people, Vash. He has plenty to think about in that area-he even still finds some of them necessary, some that he'd argue would make the place better. He still believes that, too, that some of those killings were for a good cause. It'd be stupid for him to lie about what he felt on that issue.
But. The happier people get, the less people die, the better the planet would be. He'd have liked to see that, for the girls and the kids back at the orphanage...]
