I'd had no intention of resting as Gisela suggested, but the hospital wing is slowly growing peaceful as the emergency is averted. After each blink I find it harder to open my eyes, and eventually I lose the fight ( Read more... )

*water is soaking through the blanket, but he doesn't notice it. All he can see is Wolfram, and great relief floods through him. Wolfram is safe, Wolfram is safe. He sees the wince on Wolfram's face and scrambled off of the bed as quickly as he can to kneel down next to Wolfram*

Are you okay? *he touches Wolfram's shoulder gently as though he's afraid he'll hurt the boy* Why are you here, did you get hurt in that? Because I didn't find you? Oh Wolfram, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to fall asleep!

::He flinches when Yuuri touches him, the blank expression he's been trying so hard to maintain shattering into shock. His stomach lurches as Yuuri apologizes.:: Why am I...? Oh. ::He looks down and off to one side, huddling back away from the other boy.:: You don't know what happened. Don't... ::He takes a shuddering breath, words soft and strangled.:: Don't apologize. I don't deserve it.

*very much surprised and a little hurt when Wolfram moves away, he follows, scooting closer.* I don't understand, Wolfram. *his eyebrows furrow in confusion* What happened? Shori wouldn't tell me, and I didn't know where you were.

*a quick blush rises to his cheeks, but he goes on* I was worried that something had happened to you. *he gathers up his courage, knowing that they are still in public and his BROTHER is sleeping not three feet away, and touches the wound on Wolfram's face* My poor Wolfram.

::For an instant he can't move. Part of him wants nothing more than to take the comfort that Yuuri offers, but then the pain of reality stabs harshly through his chest. Yuuri doesn't know, and if he did, he wouldn't even want to look at Wolfram. He told Yuuri that he would never lie to the boy to spare his feelings, and he can't break that promise now.::

::With a choked sound, he jerks backwards again, backpeddling almost frantically across the floor. The hurt look in Yuuri's eyes makes something feel fractured in his chest, and it's all he can do to raise his arms like a shield between them when it looks like the boy will follow him again.::

Yuuri. Stop. Don't. ::He swallows hard, trying to figure out how to push more than single word sentences past his lips.:: Yuuri, it's... All of it... It's my fault. Everything. ::He doesn't think he can stand to watch Yuuri's face change, but he can't make himself look away.::
