Buyer of sis' house still has until next Tuesday to get financing and insurance and complete the home inspection and then the sale is final, except of course for the 'final walkthrough' which is pretty much a technicality

Sis has sent in a nice offer. I'm quite sure they will counter if they don't accept it outright, as I think they've been trying for a long time to sell and no one has bitten. (I don't care why they don't like it, since I love it. I just do...)
I have discovered increasingly that I have a strong taste for slightly peculiar houses. Ones with oddly shaped or strangely placed windows, little inlets, a bit in the wall that sticks out and you don't know why...and houses that could suddenly be way more perfect for you with just a few simple projects, like the doorway we would fill in in the kitchen (it has THREE doorways into it...one from the front door/living room, one from the basement, and one from the hall in front of the bathroom. If we mow down the closet immediately to the right of the font door (but leave the wall standing...just take out the closet) you can go straight down to the basement from there and you can fill in that opening, giving you an extra 6 to 8 feet of wall space in the kitchen to relocate the fridge and place a table. It'd be easy peasy...pull out the guts of the little closet (sorry little closet) and then stick up some drywall, mud a couple of seams, then paint...done. It takes a while for the mud to dry but I think if not for that you could do the
