I adore this, taking a con-man's tips and applying them to Hatter's POV.

"Who is that?" he asked.
"Who?"

"Jesus Christ?" Alice suddenly looked chagrined, so he hurried to explain. "It's just, you keep mentioning that name, I was wondering why…" -- And this part made me giggle.
