I just got back from one of my two banks, the bank I have my mortgage through. They're not the same ones I do my normal banking with, because my dad thought he could get me a better rate with them. I am also, at long last, reading A Feast For Crows which Emily and I stumbled over at the bookstore a week or two ago. George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series has redefined modern genre fantasy, and is, in my opinion, the best fantasy short of Tolkien himself. About a month ago, I picked up a copy of Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire. I had read a review of its sequel, Son of a Witch and had also heard randellwolff give it high praise, and, being bereft of any good reading material at the time, took a chance.
