No, I will not kill you, Ann

Sorry about the meltdown on Friday. Life has twisted ways of reminding me that simply being a good person and trying my best does not protect me from its impersonal cruelty. Are things better? Not really, but at least I remembered that the point is to keep pushing forward and hoping. Eventually it'll all come together.

"Drug and alcohol addiction has been a factor influencing my life since I was very young. I have loved ones who are currently in the throes of it and it sickens and saddens me, and makes me feel helpless and angry. But at least it isn't happening to my own child."

I feel I should read this book. Alcohol addiction has also been a factor in my life growing up.

"Last night's LOCI has me in a quandary. If the past two seasons of fanfiction-like extremism hadn't happened, would it have seemed more interesting?" I'm inclined to say yes. There were certain things that I think could have made it more interesting in and of itself -- like I think we had too much information about the two brothers too early. I think it would have been better if we had learned the history as Goren and Eames had. That's where a lot of the early episodes really brought in that punch to the gut -- that "ooh, that's why" moment ( ... )

I agree that overall the episode could have been much better, procedure-wise. But I am glad you are with me in feeling like there was nothing amiss in Goren's reaction to it all. I am worried about all the different writers going all over the place and never hitting that right note that will resonate with all viewers ( ... )

I thought it was a pretty good episode, but honestly my biggest question is: what was up with Carver's doppleganger?

:D
I love the partial head shot from the promos left us thinking, "Carver's back! Carver's back!" Um, no. That man was no Carver.

Star Trek on Imax??? SQUEAK!
Oh, I am full of the envy!

I have heard Beautiful Boy was quite the book, not my cuppa, but have heard from others that it's worth reading.

Still on the fence with Dreamwidth, myself, but I'm the same way with Bios. I just go 'Buuuhhhhhhhhuh?' and often leave them blank for far too long.

Friday was...Friday. It's a new day. Life kicks us all in the shins, we hop around swearing for a while and then we calm down. You just gotta learn to limp gracefully, bebe.
