Obscenely long review of Misfits: 2x06

Dec 18, 2010 14:11

As has become custom with Misfits, I re-watched this episode over and over, till I memorized the time stamps for my favorite scenes (05:20; 25:10-31:42; 33:57 {yes, that’s right, I know the exact moment Simon is looking at Alisha before she turns her head. Obsessed you say, no just doing my due diligence as a shipper}; 35:25; 40:00; 41:41; 45:05). ( Read more... )

This is a lovely complete analysis. I would love some sort of three way romance with Simon in between Alisha and Nathan. But I don't think Simon would be up for it.

I forced my other half to watch this episode, and just at the end I said 'I'm sure Nathan still fancies Simon.' Then the slapped him on the behind. Result!

Thank you darling!!

I think Simon would be up for it as long as he was in the middle... or maybe not. I have to think about this. It depends if he's the jealous type.

Oh well, if I can't have them in a triad relationship then at least very, very good friends.

The thing I love about Nathan is that I really believe the speech he gave about labels in 2x03. I don't think Nathan cares to classify himself. If it tickles his fancy he goes for it and doesn't spend too much time thinking about if it's something he "should" do. It's amazingly honest.

Also, hi new friend!

It IS confusing, especially since he remembered telling her she was beautiful that day.

But I really support my alternate timeline theory so I'm just gonna go with it. I can fanwank that they had gotten to talking terms in the original timeline (because they were locked in and Alisha was bored & curious) and that the conversation we saw took place anyway.

Thank you for writing this review. It's given me a lot to think about as I rewatch the episode. Speculating on what's next for our Misfits will keep me going after the season is over ( ... )

Thank you for taking the time to read it! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Oh, yes. How Nathan hasn't been picked up for harassment yet I have no idea.

She was!! And yeah, Kelly might be insecure about a lot of things, especially the way people see her, but not about the way she deserves to be treated. Which I love! Girlfriend isn't going to stand for any type of mistreatment.

Long comments are ♥

I've heard a lot of people saying that Curtis turned back time and everything in the newest episode didn't happen. I don't think that's the case though. In the BTS video for the episode, someone says Curtis turned back time just far enough so they're still famous. Then they got rid of milk guy and the rest is history. This connects with the idea that the video of them famous still exists and the preview for next week which has Alisha and Simon still in F!Simon's lair.

Curtis turned back time before milk boy (Brian?) got famous. We see him rewind past dairy dude's demonstration to the news. When they go confront him at his house, he's even sitting down to make his first tape that we saw at the beginning. They got to him before even he got famous... At least, that was my understanding of it.

Right, I know. But that doesn't seem to coincide with everything else. 0_o
