If Oriya were to go out of his way to get Damian out of deep shit, Damian could probably muster respect. Mostly, at this point, Damian feels like Oriya is a passive, weak, noncommittal purveyor of immorality (You know. since Damian is the paragon of moral high ground). He tends to respect men of action, particularly if they look out for him, against all odds. There... is like a whole mini essay to that. ANOTHER TIME PERHAPS. I DO NOT WANT TO BORE.
Hm, at this point I really don't know. It's possible, because Oriya would step in to help Damian, even though he can't stand him. I think one of the big issues between the two of them has been miscommunication from the beginning, which Oriya doesn't care enough or respect Damian enough to correct. Oriya hates his job, but it's the family business and really, he was raised by the whores and servants so they are more family than his real family (lol father issues). (Going to school was his escape for a while, and he's actually a pharmacist by training.) ...he also thinks that Damian's overly moral reaction to sex is silly, but Oriya was raised in the life, so. Also, I think Damian kind of views Oriya through the lens of Muraki, which doesn't help? They have been friends for 20 years and Oriya does let Muraki get away with all kinds of shit, but . . . they don't have the kind of relationship where Oriya can really call Muraki on stuff that happens outside of his house. Plus, it's been an open relationship from the beginning.

WELL Damian is starved for attention. His mother didn't introduce herself to him until he was 8. So, he's only known her for two years. But she and Bruce were built up as idols to him, and all he wants is their approval. However, he also has no coping mechanisms! And a skewed moral compass. Basically the kid is screwed. He wants to do things that will make his dad love him, but he doesn't know how to go about it properly. Example: he cut off a villain's head-a villain his father had been trying to catch-and brought it back to show off! He is a feral kitten and that was his dead mouse. When the reaction wasn't what he expected (anger instead of pride), suddenly he had to reassess his entire life. Which means he's trying to find anything to define his boundaries

For as surly as Damian is, he's actually evolved quite a bit. When he first came to camp, he became obsessed with Violet because she is around his age (slightly older), has useful skills, and was polite to him. He's still possessive of her, but I don't think he's as vicious about it. This is probably helped by the fact that Muraki took him in. Damian is interesting, because he's so outwardly rebellious and loud, and he does have bite but it's mostly bark. The truth of the matter is that he needs someone to tell him what to do, and what the rules are, and what is acceptable behavior. And he resists it as much as he can, but he's also incredibly reliant on it, I think. So, having those figures and structures introduced has helped him honestly fight people less, even if he makes a big show of things. He has a swagger, for sure, and that's not going to change

IDK SINCE CHUCK IS SO BUSY I think we just assume they're doing their things, which include baking and beekeeping and being sickeningly sweet at each other. GETTING NED OUT IS ON MY TO-DO LIST.
HE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT TO MAKE OF DEVIT ATM. He doesn't really want to fight him at the moment because the very last thing he needs is another reason for Muraki to make him stay, but he's also kind of annoyed at how them fighting wasn't Devit losing his temper, only Damian. IDK eventually there may be some mutual dislike/respect thing going on.
THE THREAD WAS REALLY INTERESTING FOR DEVIT, because one of the things about Devit is that you can't really teach him concepts about himself/how he can be happier until he notices them himself in other people. For example a big part of the reason why he doesn't kill in camp is because he realized, when Joshua tried to kill him, that Joshua was being stupid and weak, and it was like it finally clicked for him that "Hey killing people in camp is . . . dumb! For a lot of reasons!" SIMILARLY, the truthpost thread with Damian was the first time he ever realized that it's stupid to give power over yourself/happiness to someone you hate as opposed to someone you like, and that both hating and liking are ways of bestowing power in and of themselves, so it's smarter to walk away from shit that upsets you. Which he . . . never figured out until it was coming out of his mouth, and then he was like "oh hey!" The other thing about Devit is that he automatically likes anyone he has power over, and he considers himself to have power over Damian

He's doin okay! I FEEL LIKE AT THIS POINT, I FORGET I PLAY ANYONE BUT DAIRINE AND DAMIAN but I get him out occasionally! It's really fun to play someone like Aqualad in contrast to Damian, because their answers to the same questions are so incredibly different, even though they're both half-feral children from a different world than the one they've been thrown in.
(ohgod look. look at that ping, laid right out for everyone to view)
First I want to apologize about how thoroughly and consistently I drop threads. IT'S NOT YOU, IT'S ME. Garth is and always will be my backburner BUT DON'T BE AFRAID TO POKE ME.
That being said he likes Michiru so much. She has pretty hair and smiles a lot and is really nice :B I almost guarantee he doesn't remember her name ever, but she smells nice.
You were. . . Dropping threads? . . . Well, it's all cool!! XDD
She likes him! He's kind of hilariously inept and awkward, but he's of the sea so it's something familiar when she's caught CUT off so completely. Michiru has kind of adopted him in her own little way. They can hang out in their wading pool and be besties.
Man, I play it fast and loose with Dairine's abilities because I NEVER FULLY UNDERSTAND THEM. They're in constant evolution, but it's very possible that she'd be able to know, and if she asked Spot, he'd give her the 411. COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY DEPENDENT ON PREFERENCES, OF COURSE. I have no problems with information whiteouts. We should thread more, clearly.
Um ummmm how are you guys handling the convergence of the PGSM cast and the manga cast?
Tim is a direct threat, in Damian's mind, to Damian's place in the Family. Damian is TOTALLY SCARED that Bruce thinks of Tim as his son, and that Damian just doesn't have a place in this world that he has been conditioned to worship. Since Tim is RIGHT THERE and so easy to hate, it's how Damian deals with these insecurities!
So, no.
I am interested to know Tim's thoughts on Damian, but first! What does Tim think of all these people who are associated with Damian?
