I think the catch-all that the EW theory may hinge upon is that Ghost Aaron is a pop culture sponge. Many of the books on the island have had themes and symbols that relate back to the island. For instance, Watership Down is about a bunch of wayward rabbits who, in an attempt to find a new home, happen upon a group of ruthless super rabbits that attempt to mold the newcomers towards their way of thinking. Ghost Aaron, in exerting his influence over the island, also seems to have a penchant for comic books and Charlton Heston sci-fi flicks. And what's the most read book ever and one that's come up thanks to the heavy religious leanings of Adebisi and the hobbit? It's the Bible ( ... )
