[so sometime after dinner with Rena and their cornbread experiment, Shiki's in the kitchen kind of cleaning up just for the sake of having something to do really, so she's hobbling around putting things in the sink and putting things in the fridge]

...remember how I told you about the psyches and how Minamimoto can use his powers but I can't? I can only use Telekinesis and Mr. Mew's the only thing that works for attack. Waiting never gets you anywhere. [...Or at least, that's what Kyonko said. But the other day, Guy raised a good point. What if you did something else while you waited? What can you do while you wait? What do you do? What is there to do? ...He's not sure yet. He's not sure of much of anything yet beyond some very basic facts.

One of them is that he needs to know if he's losing Shiki. Right after he lost Hanyuu and Kyonko and looks like he might lose Rena too.]

[She knows his opinion's probably changed since then, especially consider everything that's happened since that particular discussion. She also knows that Haruki's probably a little upset or jealous that she is waiting for Neku all based on the letters to his dad. She knows he's really deep in thought about the whole thing and she's pretty damn sure he's hiding something from her he hasn't said yet, but it's okay, she'll figure it out sooner or later, right? Hopefully]

...that's why I opened the store. I would have gone crazy just waiting for him...I had to keep busy somehow so I didn't think about it too much.
