This was so very wonderful! Very evocative. I really enjoyed following Agnes' ghost through the ages, and the different reactions to her. All of the details were great. (I think I can guess who wrote this, and you're fantastic.) Lovely story!

Thank you very much! I admit I didn't know what to do with my prompts till fairly late in the game, and I owe a dear, dear person profuse thanks for saying just the thing that nudged me into this <3

This is fantastic. It all seems so in character, and I do love background/historical fics - and even some excellent detail on very minor characters! Love the differing reactions to Agnes, especially Anathema's of course.

*finds communal anon-response account so dusty it had been blocked by LJ*

There is never enough Agnes in this fandom, so I like to remind people she exists every once in a while! Thank you so much for reading <3

OH MY GOD GHOST!AGNES TRAILS ROOFING NAILS *dies* Perfect.

(You even remembered tiny stupid stuff like Cranby dying of a heart attack, but the novel never saying precisely why or how except out of shock at Agnes's letter for him, and you made heartbreaking sense of that "Events of June 7th" line for Bychance, Sr. Yeah, I'm with Commenter #1...you could only be one person...)

Anon, you are marvelous: that is exactly the reaction I had when the idea of Agnes trailing roofing nails crossed my mind thanks to what a friend [to whom I'm referring in a comment above] said. I was like, wow, dude, this is probably not going to be creepy enough. Who on earth can take a ghost who drops roofing nails in her wake seriously? XD

Thank you so much.

Dear Author, your writing is like a fingerprint and never ceases to make my fall in love with your talent.
It was a very novel kind of read, really refreshing to see the focus on Agnes and often forgotten characters...and spooky too! This is a real gem for every fan of the book, you did so well by Agnes, I'm sure she would approve of your portrayal!!

Oh, I know I can't hide from you. But I can at least try by using the communal anon-response account *shifty eyes*

I was honestly afraid this would not be spooky enough. The minute I knew Agnes was going to be a ghost who dropped roofing nails everywhere she went and mostly just got crabby at people, I thought, oh, swell. My recipient is going to love this, only not really. Something autumnal and spooky, my arse :-/

So glad you had fun reading! Thank you!
