Oh man, how does this not have more praise than just six comments before mine? I don't have to be a Doctor Who fan (I would say I am, but I don't want to presume to claim that status when I've only ever caught bits of episodes here and there) to see how spot-on your Doctor is, but even he is outshined (outshone?) but how perfect, perfect your Adam is. It gives me the good kind of shivers.

This is awesome. You nailed all the voices.

And the shadows in his eyes could blot out suns.

I'm in awe of that line.

Thanks so much for sharing!

You don't even have to be fluent in Dr Who (which I am not by any means) to enjoy this one. You weave just the necessary references into the narrative so seamlessly.

This one is clever and funny...and ultimately a bit heart-choking, just enough of an ambush of tone change to catch you up short. Beautifully done. And Ancient/child Adam reassuring the Dr for his date with destiny was the final touch, Yeah, Stetsons ARE cool!

"I can," Adam said. Not proud, not boastful, just matter of fact, with a cold thread of steel running through it. "I can and I have to. You think you're so clever but you haven't worked it out, have you? People like us need people, in case we forget we are. People, I mean. Especially because we're not. We've got to use what we can do to help us pretend that we can't."

I don't know Eleven at all, but this is a really insightful crossover, with a beautifully characterised Adam.

This is.. oh my goodness, it was wonderful. Great reading of both the Doctor and Adam's characters, and wow, this is really just a lovely portrayal of two very powerful, dynamic people. Lovely!
