I am so SO glad you enjoyed it. I glomped onto your prompt right off the bat, and spent so much time working on it...I wound up being That Writer that I hate most as a mod. The one who finally hands it in at the last minute. I just wanted to get ALL your points in because I loved them so much, so I spent all of October and November and half of December reading mystery novels to steal from. And a fixation of my own on maps, because I've never been to London.

But honestly, it really all had to come down to sexual tension and wings. :D

Oh wow, I have no words!

Well, that is not quite true. This was amazing, absolutely jam-packed full of delicious lines -- and I love all these little flashes of self-conscious parody, like //She had splendid gams. Well, even after all this time as a hardboiled gumshoe, I’m still not entirely sure what gams are, but I’m sure hers were excellent.// Fantastic take on all the characters, all so perfectly fitted into this noirish London! And that view of Aziraphale, //as I had never seen him before// -- really spectacular!

Thank you so much! So glad you enjoyed!

In GO, we get glimpses of Crowley's take on humanity and how skewed it is...so it was great to have an excuse to write his POV in first-person, in a sort of Raymond Chandler pastiche.
