Hey, speaking of Gaiman do you know if the store where he did the Toronto signing has any extra signed copies left? I'm looking to buy one for my friend and Gaimaphile, hardcormier.

'Twasn't a store, it was a church, actually, and the company/press whatever, had copies for sale at a temporary table. I don't remember whether there was even a store tie-in involved.

You can order signed copies from Powell's in the States: http://www.powells.com/biblio/1-1135473153-0.

(I don't know what shipping is like to Canada, but still.)

You can also send an e-mail to Neil himself. He often has helpful hints, and sometimes changes the rules for his fans. The signing event was WAY changed from when it was first announced because the fans were upset and he put his foot down.

Anansi is an important African god who takes the form of a spider.

All I know.

There's a character in American Gods named "Mr. Nancy", who's the father of the two characters in Anansi Boys, who's supposed to be the trickster spider god Anansi.

I found it hard to get through American Gods, but you don't really have to have read it to understand and enjoy Anansi Boys.
