Yesterday was weird. I spent most of the day working on Boobie drawings and finishing up my marathon run of The Invisible Man from 2000 with Fawkes, Hobbs, the Keeper Claire, and Superman's dad from Lois and Clark Eddie Jones as The Official (This actor gets his own name mentioned because I like saying "Eddie Jones" really fast, like Denny Craine ( Read more... )

Awww, I think I remember Kane. He was the one we went to visit in SLO right? Good to see he's doing good things for himself! :D

Yep. He's doing really well. Was off to Chicago to meet his girlfriend's family.

The guilty pleasure shows I wish hadn't been canceled so damned early were "Good Vs. Evil" and that one about the secret agent and his arch nemesis who end up as next-door neighbors in the suburbs with one always murdering the other in each episode.

Also: Hooray for snuggling.

I kind of wish Star Trek would quit starting new series and just try a doctor who type treatment where they have one STAR TREK with a constantly changing cast with characters entering and leaving every couple seasons either written out with duty transfers, death, or retirement and just come back for cameos every now and then. I think it'd give the ship itself and the alliance more of a mythic legacy to be the only sure things (except, y'know, when the ship is destroyed and they bring in a new one, Enterprise or not).

When they were thinking about making a new Trek show (and ended up with Enterprise), one of the suggestions for the show was a "Below Decks" kind of situation where the show followed the junior officers and not the senior officers of the ship. It would have taken place in the Alpha Quadrant, so cameos AND DEATHS would have been possible and popular. But JJ Abrams wanted to relive his childhood, so he remade the original series, but with his own crew...and earlier O_O

Kind of like...the most recent movie...

But I was referring to the original show in that list, not the expanded universe series.

Wish I could've been there. Which Trek did you talk?
