It wasn't the crazy!

Yesterday was weird. I spent most of the day working on Boobie drawings and finishing up my marathon run of The Invisible Man from 2000 with Fawkes, Hobbs, the Keeper Claire, and Superman's dad from Lois and Clark Eddie Jones as The Official (This actor gets his own name mentioned because I like saying "Eddie Jones" really fast, like Denny Craine...try it... "Eddie Jones").

I'm just going to say it, why was this show canceled? Probably because it was on on Saturday afternoons but still. It had good plots, it was funny, fun to watch, the special effects were simple and handled well enough that they still hold up, and it was a good concept. The character actors were great (I have to say, I wish I could have seen more of Eberts, he was hilarious!) Ended on a weak note, but I'm not sure they knew they were being canceled until 3 episodes from the end of the season. Then they blew their budget on locations and TRYING to tie up as many loose ends as possible. Either way, if you haven't seen it, please do. It's trash Saturday television at it's best.

So, I'm working on boobies, and watching I-man, and then I get this call from my friend Kane.

"Hi Kane! Wow, I haven't talked to you in forever, how are you?"

"Well, I'm kind of in Minneapolis right now..."

"wha-what?"

Seems his flight was canceled or rebooked or oversold or something. He flew out this morning on an early flight to Chicago, but last night I had me a dorm-guest of Mr. Kane Lynch. We didn't do much since he had to leave in a few hours, but I took him on the midnight tour of my school, we showed each other some comics we had been working on since the last time we saw each other, and talked Trek. Good times, good times.

The last time I saw Kane, he was still in high school and living between his mom and dad depending on the day. He had braces, acne, and baby fat. Last night, I was privy to a respectable, soft spoken, clear skinned handsome tall young film maker currently sharing a house with housemates in Berkley, and this tall blond gent who I let sleep on my bed last night as I took the couch, had grown from the chrysalis of that awkward teen. I'm so proud. :)

I didn't get much sleep last night because of my insomnia (takes me anywhere between 1-3 hours to drop off once my head hits the pillow) and then got a call from Seamus this morning telling me they had reached St. Paul.

Seamus got home a little bit ago (YAY!). So I'm heading over to his place to snuggle.
