Restless leg/finger/body syndrome? Sometimes I get this almost electric feeling in my legs, arms, and shoulders, always when I'm trying to rest. Restless limbs! I have a one year old chihuahua and she is very needy when it comes to attention. Of course a four pound chihuahua is hardly a Walter I'm sure, especially when she's walking on my face or scratching down my legs.

I've thought of that, but it's not the case with me. It's not a usual occurrence. I think it's definitely stress related and the mental/physical uneasiness that comes along with it.

Haha, Walter is quite heavy. 50 lbs! So yes, different than your child, but probably still has the ability to be bothersome.

If the realtor said you could have a pet, you can have a pet. If he failed to mention the conditions, then the agency pays the fee. I would NEVER pay a fee after the fact, but first I would demand to see paperwork about this 300 dollars...

Well, I would push back, but...we are trying to get out of the lease by August. Rick signed a two year lease (whyyyy) and we really want to just to one year there. So we will follow their rules and ask to duck out early, giving them ample time to fill the apartment.

Have you thought about asking for a promotion?

I have! And I did! I asked for one back in October, but the layoffs were upon us, so there was a hiring freeze and a promotion freeze. THEN, after the layoffs, the leadership team was like "oh shit, there aren't enough people to do the work, must hire!" so we began hiring again. That stunts promotions, as well. Since the new girl in our group was hired under a lower level than the position was posted at, that means there is room for promotion within my group. It's all about available funds that need to be allocated throughout R&D.

My boss has been in many conversations with her boss (who needs to officially sign off on the promotion) to bump me up a level. That is why I am a part of many additional meetings and wear way more than one hat. Judy is driving the point home that I should be at a higher level than my peers within my group. And I'm thankful for that. So we'll see!
