I assume that's LJ's plan! They should've done their permanent account sale before pissing fandom off with... whatever it was last time. Who's going to buy one without the promise of underage sex? But, hey, at least we all have accounts at every other journaling system already.

Do you know of any place with stats of how many permanent accounts were sold during the sale and how many auto-payments were cancelled? I'd love to see some numbers on exactly how pissed off and pro-active fandom was during that period.
