Karla is officially 13 now.  How sad is that?  I am so very proud of the young lady she is becoming.   She still has some stuff to work through - but she will get there with flying colors, I am positive.

Today we are going to have a girls day.  Karla,  a friend of hers, and me.  We are going to get Karla some new glasses.  Her friend doesn't really ( Read more... )

I never buy lottery tickets, but I plan to buy 2 every week in hopes to win money for Baxter's education. It brakes my heart to know that such a deserving young man may have to hold off on such a great opportunity. I wish him and you the best of luck.

You are one of the sweetest, giving, caring ladies I have ever known! The lottery is a great idea - I'll start buying tickets too. Do we need a plan of attack? Pick numbers, use auto generated numbers? what? I have never bought lottery tickets before.

I have complete faith that something will work out for the tuition. I just have a peace about it all. I also know that I need to keep talking about it (not ad nauseum) because me talking about it all is what got us this far. I am so much more comfortable with the idea then I was a month ago. Talking about it and knowing someone who knows the school has made that difference - I don't feel like I will be sending him off to the unknown.

I have never bought lotto tickets either. Guess I will have to think on it. Not to sure what numbers to pick. When was Bax born? Maybe he should tell us his lucky numbers. My little brother used to think his football jersey number was lucky.

his bday is 9 17 93. his jersey number is 50.

Mr said we will buy tickets that are good for so many weeks. Then you don't have to remember to go and get them.

As much as I hate to say this....we probably need to start trying to apply for the K-12 student loans so we can see if we can even qualify for one!

breathe breathe breathe

Debt scares the beejeebies out of me.

Yes, but I want to wait until after we return. I have a feeling that their might be scholarships that we are not aware of. and since he is a 4.0 exceptional young man I think he would qualify if they do exist.

You think its laughable that you're pulling off girly-mom day? I have to take my boy to a Pinewood Derby! We had to make a car?!? WTF do I know about that? *sigh*

I accepted generous guidance from a great man.

Me and girly day is about as laughable as you at a pinewood derby. I did it though. and we even all survived!

Now, I have to do highlights in her hair - leave it to me to bring the girly stuff home :(
