Got a call from CPS.

That statement used to bring fear to our lives....

Since we finalized Matthew's adoption is does not have the same power over us.

That call from CPS was asking us to consider adopting W, Matthew's biological cousin. We said YES. So, we are crazy!

Wow over 2 months!  Were has the time gone?  Since the girls left, we have been getting back into the swing of being a smaller family.  It is nice.  We can do things without it being a major production and costing a fortune!  We are making some decisions about our family and our future.  We will let you all know when we have decided for sure.

Karla is officially 13 now.  How sad is that?  I am so very proud of the young lady she is becoming.   She still has some stuff to work through - but she will get there with flying colors, I am positive.

My eighth grade SON wants to go a military high school. We are not talking a bad kid school. We are talking about a military prep academy. Do you know how many of those there are in Texas? ZERO.

We decided to join a cookie exchange this year. We were to bake 11 dozen cookies to exchange with others.  We would leave with 11 dozen of the same cookie and come home with 11 dozen different cookies. Cause I got my present early, we have photographic proof that we can cook and that cookies are serious business at our house!
