Christmas Cookie Exchange

Dec 11, 2007 10:21

We decided to join a cookie exchange this year. We were to bake 11 dozen cookies to exchange with others.  We would leave with 11 dozen of the same cookie and come home with 11 dozen different cookies. Cause I got my present early, we have photographic proof that we can cook and that cookies are serious business at our house!

Most excellent! I'm GLAD you got a camera! Mr. Dowg looks like he's really gonna put the hurt on those cookies. Bad cookies - bad!

He got a bit cranky in hour 3, but overall he did well. We made oldest son stay downstairs the entire time - what torture!!

The cookies are muy excellenta. Wanna try one? Come on by - we have extras.

Best compliment I have ever heard! Thank you....

I forgot to include the pictures of the dogs. one was licking her chops and the other was keeping the floor clean. It was just torture for them!

13 dozen different homemade cookies just might be worth coming back for, huh?

He is confident in his manhood. Plus he loves Pampered Chef. We were wishing for one of the new stones with the handles during this baking marathon.

shhh - it is the biggest apron I have :)

Wandering thought: I love aprons, why are they not in style anymore? I have some half aprons that my grandmother made 30+ years ago. Occasionally I'll put one on. My kids all laugh at me - they are a but June Cleaverish.

Nice! Cookie making is always fun, but to make that many would be a chore. I, a man, made cookies, from scratch, with my boys Sunday. They love making treats with Dad. We gave out some of the cookies as Christmas treats to friends and neighbors. Christmas is a wonderful time if you let it be one. "C is for Cookie. Thats good enough for me."

I want to taste! What kinds? how many? We made my super secret oatmeal recipe. I can only share it when you are moving AWAY from where I live - my daughter is not happy about that rule!

We had a great time. Lots of laughing and goofing AND the cookies came out edible. Of course I had to taste test all of the misshapen ones! Mr is a great cook (I did teach him everything he knows!). I am lucky to have him around. He does not always enjoy time in the kitchen with the kids though. That is left upto me. The kids and I did all the measuring, mixing and most of the scooping. Mr did all the cooling and packaging. We were a great team! It was fun.
