I have this intensely weird feeling like somehow, racebending.com will be blamed for any faults of this film. Am I just getting a jaded? I guess time will tell. :/

What do you mean by faults - you mean that if it tanks, people will put it down to racebending.com? Or do you mean faults as in the massive fail in the film itself? Because ... no.

I can see people blaming the protesters if the movie isn't successful, because that's how people are. It's always the ones who don't sit and take it who get blamed, never mind that they were the ones who got kicked in the face to begin with.

But idk, I'll personally salute you either way.

LOL I HAS CONFUSING

This, right here. There's apparently already pro-casters saying the critics reviews that slam TLA - from HuffPo, RogerEbert.com, newspaper sites, etc - are all an 'insider plot' created racebending.com organizers. Like what??! On one hand I'm kinda surprised they think we have THAT much power over...well anyone. On the other...what??!?!

I know right? You have to ask Shyamalan for an answer to that one.

Right now, all I see in my head are some (sadly cringeworthily ole-time-racist) Chuck Jones cartoons. I'll send in Tex Avery's more zany creations before the image gets burned into my brain.

Did you partake in the discussion about black characters in Harry Potter (not) being called African American? Not that I want to remember that but.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa *wry wincing laugh*

I did not! I never got that much involved in any HP meta, so I think I heard about it, but I didn't read up on it. It was during those heady days where I was convinced that fandom =/= real life issues, where ignorance was bliss and where I felt the world was a happy place; and if I tried hard enough and believed in myself, I could achieve anything!!!!!111!1!!!!!!!

Thank god that's over. ;D

*hee* I'm disappointed to see that the rottentomatoes is now at 10%, when it was at 0% an hour ago. All because of a review that says 'if you try not to see all the bad things about it, then the movie's not that bad!'. LOL.

That interview is absolutely amazing. 'They're this HUGE nation! What does it matter if we don't see them in the movie? They're there! That's enough!'

I'm kind of glad they apparently made a very bad movie. If they were going to waste all that potential, better that they wasted it all the way, rather than make something that would have been great if it wasn't for all the fail.

I am REALLY glad it's not a success and that most of that fail is about the script/directing/plot of the movie, not to mention the amount of critics who mention that the original canon was clearly Asian/Inuit. Gives me a 'what if?' moment to wonder if the movie DID have a good plot/acting?

(not that much of a 'what if', though. :D)
