Day 01: Your Favourite Quote
Day 02: Your Favourite Episode
Yet AGAIN I started trying to be all encompassing and just failed, MISERABLY FAILED. I starting listing all my favourite episodes, and it ended up pretty being ALL of the episodes. This is the second time I've tried really really hard to isolate my favouritest thing about this show and

... yeah. I sound like someone on my own flist who hates that I'm a Kurt/Blaine shipper for Glee but I just... I never really took into it myself, because it was so corny and overwhelming in the show. It's just hard when you get into the show late; you don't really "get" all the emo-Ten Rose references and it just gets annoying.
And there is so much that's good about the Eleven-era. Matt Smith is my favourite Doctor/actor/idol/person to build worrying shrine to in my bedroom - well, him and Benedict Cumberbatch (have you heard of him? He's the chap playing Sherlock who was slated as a possible shoe-in for Eleventh Doctor). He's just so fresh and original and Doctor-ish, as is Steven Moffat. Love them. Love them all.

"Corny" is very much the word for Ten/Rose. Unlike Doctor/Idris, where the word she was looking for wasn't "love", you would never be surprised by what Ten/Rose were saying and doing. I think Rusty was right to bring in that romantic element - it made Doctor Who more than just sci fi - but in the end it became all about Rose and that was too much for me. When someone who can travel all of space and time is getting upset about one human from the 21st century, and keeps on reminiscing, it kind of gets annoying. I can't begin to think what a turn-off it was for viewers who hadn't seen it from the beginning :/
Ahhh, Eleven is my homeboy. I LOVE Eleven. I love Eleven like I haven't loved Nine or Ten and I think he's becoming *my* Doctor. Matt Smith seems so down-to-earth and yet is so incredibly ( ... )
