I turned my computer on today to make a completely different post.... but my free ZoneAlarm decided to give me a big scare saying I "may be infected with a trojan which steels internet banking passwords

But why does a security freak trust zone alarm? D:

That question actually stumped me! But that's the only legally free firewall I know of. My only other option would be Windows default firewall... and that's one I don't trust!

After that message, R thought I should uninstall it... but I still don't know what to substitute it with!

I don't trust free firewalls anymore, they always hold something back. You could get one paid yearly so it's not too expensive.
