There is an endeavour towards selling the house where I've been living for a while, which has involved a lot of tidying up over the last few weeks. This lead up to an open day this weekend. The entirely wonderful herecirm came down a day early and won points with my mum by being awesomely helpful while I was at work

I have to accept that given his age and type, along with the ongoing nature of this lameness, I have probably ridden him for the last time.

Oh, dear...how old is Zorro? I'm going through similar with Coro, although we may have discovered a miracle drug, I still have to face his age and the fact that he has two compromised major systems (cardiac and respiratory).

He's about fifteen, but with that shoulder-heavy draft horse conformation the joints in his front legs are starting to get arthritic and there is calcification of the cartilage in his feet, so even if we do come through this problem there are others on the horizon.

He really is looking splendid. There is something going on with his back at the moment too, which I'm hoping isn't saddle fit related but has kept me from riding for a while. Hopefully should be able to get it sorted soon. It is quite annoying doing all the work and expenditure for two and riding none...

I'm so sorry to hear about Zorro - that this should happen after having come so far with him...

But Cash - ain't he lovely! Nice paces!

Just when we were getting good, too. I really miss my steady-going riding horse.

Cash is just adorable, even if he does insist on letting me know I have builder's bum by licking me.
