Favourite Fashion Moment: New York Edition

May 26, 2011 17:34

Santana and Kurt were the clear favourites in their funeral outfits in our poll from last week. Now that everybody has had time to watch New York, it's time to decide which team's costume for Nationals was the best. And while we're at it, tell us who had the best frolicking-in-the-park outfit in the I Love New York / New York New York mashup. Was ( Read more... )

Ahaha I almost voted for the police officer for lolz.

I loved all the outfits, but for the girls I had to pick Rachel. That coat is amazing! I loved that Tina wore colors!!

And of course Im biased in Kurt's favor for the guys. Ha. (Plus, they put Sam in that same henley three times already)

I noticed that but I liked it because it makes sense that he doesn't have too many clothes.

I voted for Artie in his happy yellow vest. He gets bonus points for managing to wheel himself around a fountain without falling in. (How did he even get up there?)

And Tina. Because she's wearing green! And purple! And spotty Dr Martens! :D

Have to vote for ND. The girls were so cute in those dresses. Almost loligoth. The VA dresses looked like bad bridesmaids and the other girl group just looked ridiculous in those outfits singing that song. (Plus the way they were dancing made them look kinda pregnant in them tbh.)

Rachel was just too adorable in her park outfit. (She was reading Audrey Hepburn to me for pretty much the whole ep and I have to love that.)

And Kurt was just fabulous, as usual. Love his looks.

The VA dresses were a bit of a let-down, especially compared to their previous outfits (think Bohemian Rhapsody!). Also, any dress (and hairstyle) that can take someone as tiny and smiley and adorable as Sunshine and make her look kind of ugly are a total mistake.

Rachel was brilliant. Way too cute :)

For once I actually liked one of Kurt's outfits...but it was later with the breakfast at Tiffany's scene. I just found his outfit there absolutely flawless...

I've already declared my love/need for Rachel's jacket so she obviously got my vote.

And was anyone else disturbed by the all girl group's dancing at all? I was cringing the ENTIRE time. their dresses were nice...but the dancing...i think not...

It's gorgeous! I remember reading somewhere, (maybe on possessionista?) that it's vintage, unfortunately. That being said, surely some company will come out with a replica inspired by the episode :)

Okay, aside from the fashion. Anyone else getting bored with the whole "New Directions...doesn't win! HAHAHA SUCKERS!"

Second, Kurt and Rachel having Breakfast at Tiffany's. ACK! Love. It was amazing.

I think I'd be more annoyed if New Directions did win - or go on to more success, at least - when they're silly enough to get on a plane to New York without a setlist - and without even starting to write their songs. I think if April Rhodes had enough time since the Fleetwood Mac episode to find a Broadway theatre, hire crew and hang signs, New Directions should've been able to be a little better prepared.

If they actually got their act together, I'd probably be more annoyed by the loss, I think :)

I think it is more "ND doesn't win. Did they expect to win with basically no preparation at all? *eyeroll*" than "OMG ND Y U SUCK SO LOLOLOL FAIL". They do not fail as singers or dancers and everybody knows that they are really talented. But I think it is the fact that it seems like they didn't even try to win (like...actually finalizing a setlist before Nationals and rehearsing)that makes people go a little "pfffft" at them when they act so shocked for not ending in the Top 10.

The Breakfast scene made me hyperventilate a litte. I can see them in the future as poor, struggling artists who once a month try to live a little glamourous by eating take away breakfast outside fancy buildings.
