I think it would have made more sense if Finn, after praying for that stuff for himself, prayed for Burt's recovery and realized the sandwich wasn't God because it didn't help Burt.
I dunno, I found the whole thing a little irritating. I also wish Mercedes has taken FINN to church, to show him what faith is really about.
