Wow, this is so fantastic!

I love Miles/Naomi to begin with, and this is just so perfectly Miles, and so bittersweet. I especially loved this line -- It’s nothing. Just meat. He exhales sharply, his brain knotting at the memory of a knife striking muscle in the smooth flat of her back.
