Do you know how awesome this season has been? Every episode was full of mind-blowing, heart-rending exchanges, but the finale should have been called "I think we hit the wall and ran out of ideas ( Read more... )

I have SO MANY people telling me I should watch this show, but I've just never been able to get into it.

Not to mention I was a little annoyed with it for beating LOST. ;)

Maybe I'll give it another chance, though. I know a lot of people I respect who like it.

I do definitely recommend getting back into it, it's got a lot going for it, even if this finale made me make this face: :|

I didn't like this episode either. I knew he was going to propose to Megan when he got Anna's ring. I don't know if they intended it to be a surprise either, because it was pretty obvious.

Most of the Drapers on Vacation scenes were bland and disappointing. I did like the milkshake scene however. Poor Betty. They've gone all-out this season to show what a poor mother she is.

Glen's Just because you're sad doesn't mean everyone has to be to Betty was awesome.

Joan/Peggy need to become BFFs now.

I don't really know how I feel about the finale. It felt more subtle - obviously it didn't set up for as much next season as "Shut the Door, Have a Seat" did, except for "well wtf is going to happen with Don now", but things are definitely going to happen that we can look forward to. What's going to happen with Joan (and Roger's) baby? Are Don's kids going to want to stay with Betty after Don marries a woman who's probably a much better mother-figure? Where is Peggy's career going to go now? Rather than feel like they just left us high and dry, I think they set themselves up for an interesting next season where earth-shattering things happen instead of earth-shattering things happen in the finale.

That said, the stuff with Megan happened WAY too fast (she's been in what, like 5 episodes this season?), but I guess maybe that was the point - Don's been taking a lot of gambles lately, and this is probably the biggest one (as well as drawing obvious parallels between Roger and Jane).

Also, that last scene with Don and Betty exiting the old house in seperate directions made me tear up. That was such a great shot.

Yeah I thought that basically the whole thing was a certifiable mess. I can't even form a coherent argument, lol.
