I like to watch documentaries and shows on youtube because I don't have a TV or Netflix. I was watching something on history and differences in capital punishment in various parts of the world and then on the side of "recommended videos" there was something that was very unsettling. When they have videos, there is always a still image of a scene ( Read more... )

I'm so sorry. I put it under a cut, in hopes of warning people but I realize that it probably is intense for anyone. I posted about it because I'm just so shocked...I've never encountered anything like that before so OUT IN THE OPEN. I guess I just needed to vent. It's so hard to explain, but having that information and feeling like the only one in the world that knew about it is a horrible experience.

It's really suffocating information to have...and I'm still so upset that nobody reported it before. It was posted on August 5th. I just don't understand why it wasn't flagged before. It's so disturbing that this child's pain was advertised to the world before. It was so obvious. I'm just worried that the regulations aren't as strict in the Philippines or something. Or that it is harder to track.

I'm so sorry this made your day worse:(. I agree, humanity sucks. This is lame, but I had to watch a bunch of these Canadian prank shows afterwards. Surprisingly, it helps.

Oh my gosh... this world is so insane. I'm so glad you flagged and reported it. Its so sad that it had been up that long without anything done. I think youtube does have the authority to hand stuff over to the cops cause I've heard of situations where idiots get in trouble for posting stupid stuff on youtube like admitting to crime and stuff. While this is really sad, it just shows what is going on in the world. We can't "openly" help syria but the govnt helps the rebels with technology and stuff and youtube can be a very powerful tool. I was reading a time article a while ago, escape from syria, where time photographers and some journalists were discovered and the syrian governemtn started bombing the place they were staying. A couple people were killed and one of the journalists put a video up on youtube.

Sorry for the rant. There is much ugly in the world and it is so unfortunate. There is also beauty too. I hope that little boy is ok.
