I listened to both my CDs yesterday...The Phantom Agony by Epica is pretty good...I like Consign to Oblivion way more though. My fave song is definitely The Phantom Agony...I love the beginning where these men are saying in deep voices "the phaaaantom agonyyyy." I half expect them to say "the phantom of the opera." They said he passed out at work and couldn't revive him. He was only 30 years old...

The Avantasia CD is awesome too!! It has like...10 singers, each for different characters! My fave song is The Seven Angels...14 minutes of awesomeness!! Why is it called The Metal Opera though? It's not really operatic...
Mainly because it has a lot of different characters acting out the story. Basically it's a play on the term Rock Opera which is used to describe albums like The Who's Tommy. Though some of the singers do have operatic-like voices. Especially Michael Kiske.
