Poor duck! I don't know if you guys have wildlife sanctuaries there, but someone probably put him there. I don't know if they would put him down. I know they would never put him back in the wild because there is no way he would survive in the wild. Maybe use him as an education animal. If not, then he may have died.

Mother Nature definitely has a dark side to her.

OMG I’d have the hardest times with the ducks 🥺 I seriously am SO sensitive about nature and animals, to a degree that surpasses I don’t even know what (I know it’s similar for you too!).

Your insight on the book about the man with the stutter comparing to having autism… I think just that and the ducks, reminded me of something I was reading today about one of my new clients that literally almost made me cry. He moved here from across the country because both his parents and his dog died within 10 months of each other… when he was doing the intake here with his relatives (he is 18), he was holding on to a stuffed brown dog that he would pet and show videos to throughout the meeting. That just pulled on my heart strings like nothing else 💕
