I feel like an annoyance and a burden to everyone, especially Denise. I try to do my best at work, but I feel like she has super high expectations and is never happy, no matter how much I try. It is sad when others make fun of what it is you love the most. This happens to me to the point that I've learned to keep inside the things I love the most in order to protect them - and me - from ridicule or being put down. So - I know what you are feeling when your love of Cherry is eye rolled by others. We all have our passions - intense interests - and those need to be ENCOURAGED! Never, ever make fun of or minimize anyone else's passion.

I feel like some people such as those like Denise will never be happy with anything or anyone. Like either they have to do otherwise it's not right. People like that suck! I've had my fair share of A types in my world.

Maybe talking with her about it could help? You never know until you try it out, right?

I do hope it gets a little better for you *hugs*

I hear you... I have kept things to myself, just for fear of being ridiculed. After all, people don't get my love for Alaska, winter and remote wilderness, so I've learned not to be too outspoken about this.
I hope it gets better for you, but please know that people will notice if you weren't there anymore. Denise might just be caught up in this stressful time of year, so maybe talking about it would clear the air? Either way, you are valuable and not at fault for what's going on there! *hugs*

Oh mannn... That sounds like it has way more to do with Denise than with you, in all honesty. Especially if she is constantly getting annoyed at customers not putting stools back (if they don't know to do it, I don't see why they would!), and with Denise getting to the point of throwing things!?! OMG! Maybe she has some of her own depression/anger issues that she is dealing with, or she doesn't know how to cope with stress very well. I'm glad that you were able to find an outlet here with writing out your feelings - I can absolutely relate, I love how cathartic writing can be <3 Oh Heather!! I really don't think this has to do with you! Just from what you're saying. Your work is so lucky to have such a dedicated worker as you. I hope that you are able to have a productive conversation with her in the future. It was probably for the best for the time being that you have gone out of your way to interact with her minimally the last couple of days... She seems to be on such a short fuse for whatever reason, and I still don't really think ( ... )
