Yeah, guys I'm not dead, just working. RL sucks. In the interim, here's a funny screencap I did. I've recently upgraded my DVD player in my PC to Blu Ray, and found out that screencapping high def is not that hard. Chekov was absolutely adorable! The, "Ya moye!" made me lol in the theatre. That whole movie was win, and the cast was impeccable.

Besides, it's disgusting how many caps I took of the Star Trek reboot. Like, 1GB worth. *facepalm*

Yes, they did a fantastic job on the casting. Carl Urban as McCoy, I had my worries, but he pulled the part off so well. Also, near matching McCoy icons. I like yours better.

Can't be any worse that the caps I've gotten. XD;; Granted, I downloaded mine, but they take up too much room on my computer.

I admit I had positively zero idea who the hell Karl Urban was before I saw Star Trek. And I didn't give it much thought until I saw the reboot again on DVD, but when I did, I think he made the movie for me. And my surprise when I discovered he's a Kiwi was quite amusing, or so I was told! I've been fully converted to a Karl Urban fangirl, so...yeah.

But, I can't claim credit for that McCoy icon. Wicked Jade is the creative genius behind my Star Trek icons. I just screen cap things from the DVDs. I don't bother trolling the internet for pictures I can just grab myself. But since I'm fail at making icons and wallpapers, as the three pics I posted prove, I just hand over the screen caps and have other people do it for me.

Hee, Team Man-Whore. :) I'm in the process of making the icons I promised you. I had a stroke of brilliance last night...take the screencaps you gave me, and combine them with quotes from Coupling. You wouldn't believe how well they fit! *points at icon* Apparently you can take just about any Patrick/Sally convo and apply it to Jim/Bones. Also, Jeff and Steve quotes are doubly hilarious when layered over the screencaps of Bones freaking out on the shuttle. Trufax. So that's what I'm doing right now...rewatching Season 1 of Coupling while making icons. Yes, I do have way too much time on my hands ( ... )

I thought you'd enjoy those, even though they're total fail. I'm not creative, other than the crack-fic writing kind of crazy that I am. Dude, I had to *gigglesnort* at work when I read the LJ update from my phone on my email. Coupling quotes over the Star Trek reboot caps. That's fucking brilliant. And it's so fitting! That one where McCoy and Kirk are in sickbay? Someone else saw those caps I did, and she said the same damn thing! So I'm glad you made that one, because it kept me from having to ask you.

So far, my two favorites are the Klingons and the DNA one. And the one you used above was awesome, too! Besides, you can't ever go wrong with Coupling! "No, Jeff. I'm not going to endanger an entire plane load of people talking with you about the hazards of breast inflation." I go on and on and on with quotes from that show.

Oh, take your time! I'm just happy that someone who knows what they're doing is wiling to make some icons. And the next time you're on AOL, let me know. I have those caps you wanted from Delta Vega and of Gaila

The DNA one was too good to resist. It's just so Bones. If I ever do write a fic, I'm going to have to have Bones use that quote as an homage. I swear, Coupling and the Reboot were made to be combined. And I haven't even got to the Season 2 quotes yet. I mean, just imagine how many icons I could make from 'Her Best Friend's Bottom' and 'The Melty Man Cometh' alone. (That's why I needed the Delta Vega caps. I need Jim's look of horror for when Bones explains the Melty Man to him. And I may use Gaila for "I am Giselle! I am a French Bitch! Though it's possible I may use one of Bones' many bitchfaces for that, too, just for the crack factor ( ... )
