I went to check Scott Lynch's LJ yesterday to see whether he was around, and it turns out he's being a lot more active. And from there I found my way to:

- His website's updated Excerpts page, where one can find the entire prologue to the Republic of Thieves to download, in which, apparently, one may hope to meet Sabetha

I still haven't got to checking it out because I get derailed by obsessively tidying things. Sitting still is so difficult this week omg. But from the little bit I read when I found it it seems... rather interesting, to say the least.
