Their plan started out innocently enough- they danced, even sung, when Oogie was destroyed.

But they were restless.

Jack wasn't giving them the free reign they enjoyed under Oogie's control, so something had to be done. And it would cost everyone dearly.

The Shadows were hell-bent on claiming what they saw as rightfully theirs, and if they had to destroy everything in their way,

SO BE IT.

The Bunny charges in headlong, a grin etched across his bunny features, ready to rock and roll, and cause some chaos.

And then something hits him, full in the programming, causing him to stumble to a stop, twitching and a shivering.

This is Halloween

Certain programs hidden in his core code are triggered only on holidays. Holidays he worked hard to eliminate from the public lexicon. But here, now, it's all coming back to him.

The white spots on his fur slowly shift to a brilliant orange, as his beady little eyes light up with a red glow. And then he flicks out his favorite switchblade... and it keeps flicking, extending into a nifty, nasty foldable scthye. And the Bunny smiles, feeling the rush of power this particular program affords.

"Let's do this thing."

"BUNNY!" The Behemoth snarls- then charges, axe swinging.

"CHOP THE BUNNY UP! PUT BUNNY IN A STEW!"

His eyes, normally glassy and unfocused, are now full of blood and trained on the little beastie with the blade.

"C'MERE BUNN-IE!" A maniacal laugh rings out into the corners of the graveyard, sending rats scurrying for cover

"Fool."

Something so big can bot hope to match the speed of a small thing like The Bunny. Especially not with Halloween enhancement active.

Any sane person would run away.

The Bunny charges, ducking under the swinging axe, ducking under the monster, his scthye rising up into the belly of the beast, once, twice, thrice, and then he's out the other side.

The Shadows moved slowly at first, but when they started to really get a taste for the kinds of nightmares that these monsters under the bed and bumps in the night could imagine, they developed a lust for it.

They needed more.

"Ohhhh... this isn't good, this isn't good!"

Claire is peering around, trying to figure out why for the love of whoever she decided to join all these people in what is obviously not someplace for her to be.

"You have no idea how good it is to see you, CLAIRE."

"Come here, CLAIRE."

"SUCH A PRETTY GIRL, CLAIRE."

A shadow (there are many shadows, but all of them are distinct) gathers itself up, growing taller and wider than Claire.

"Let's us just see how pretty you are when you SCREAM."

The shadow begins to take form, and the other shadows taunt her.

"What is it you're afraid of, little girl?"

Claire stands her ground, her eyes darting here and there, trying to figure this out.

"Nothing. Nothing."

Her Father. Step Father.
