The Legend of the Great Battle waged by the Terrifying King Jack Skellington of Halloween Town against the Evil Oogie Boogie has been told and retold countless times, by those that were there, and those that were not.
In all versions, Oogie Boogie, when the steam settled and the screams subsided, rested at the bottom of his own molten pit, his precious bugs, the source of his power, melted beyond repair.
Since that time, Halloween Town was left with a relative peace.

Jack Skellington, the Leader of Halloween Town, sits, trapped, up in his Castle on the Hill, locked away tightly, withering. Before too long, he will be nothing more than dust.
Nothing will stop them, he declared, when his beloved Sally and their small children tried to shake him from his stupor.
