Room 201, Saturday Afternoon

May 15, 2010 12:56

It was now exactly one week since she'd arrived in Fandom. Rosalind's mixed feelings, today, about that very same fact had to take second place to her needing to send her report off to Tseng.

She was settled at her desk, rereading her report and wishing it didn't sound quite so much as if she'd lost her mind.

Cut for crazy linkdroppy-ness. )

where: room 201, fandom: jacob black, what: reports to tseng, what: linkdrop, fandom: triela

Jacob still had a challenge to meet and while she'd sabotaged it last time, now he was going to get it right. Except that he didn't bring muffins this time around. He just brought himself and well... who knew how she'd take that.

The door was open at least and he casually leaned a shoulder against the doorframe, looking amused. "It's Saturday and you're still working."

"Work doesn't stop simply because of what day it is," she replied, turning her head to give him an unreadable look.

"There's actually several religions on Earth that forbid working on Sunday because they claim even god rested well," he told her, smirking a little.

Not that he for one second thought it'd convince her.

"I see no reason to adhere myself to someone else's restrictions on their time," she informed him loftily. "And, as it is Saturday, I would still be able to work today even if I did follow that rule."

Triela stood in the doorway, not wishing to disturb what was pretty obviously a bout of report-writing. She knew how much work it could be squeezing Fandom into the precise language of a standard report.

Besides, Triela wasn't in a hurry. She could wait until Rosalind was done.

"Triela," she said, not looking at the door. Reflections were useful--her screen caught just enough of the view of her door to allow her to notice someone was there. And make a guess at who it was.

"Rosalind," Triela returned. An acknowledgment for an acknowledgment. She didn't say anything more for the moment. Until Rosalind turned toward her, Triela would assume the other girl was busy.

It was one of those rare instances at Fandom where she suspected treating someone else like they were one of the girls at the Agency was actually the right approach.

She was busy; finishing up a few sub-reports, making certain that all her photographic proof (particularly of Elena and Reno) was in correct order.

Nonetheless, it was rude to allow her visitor to wait for all that long. It was only a few minutes--more than five, less than ten--before she turned in her seat.

"My apologies," Rosalind said simply. "Please, come in."
