Counting stuff, definitely. Once upon a time I was in Juvy and I counted everything there was to be counted, which, was a very short amount of things: ceiling tiles, beds, toilets, sinks, and inmates, but one took up quite a bit of my time. I'd say I'm an optimistic realist. I know how screwed up things can get, but I urge myself to remember that this too shall pass, which, also helps me to be a realistic optimist, who doesn't expect her shit to smell like roses, but does like to hope for a clean ass.
