I've been waiting so that I could read this in one go, and it's lovely :D I'm not a card player but understand enough of the ideas to appreciate the cleverness of the structure and the way you worked with the tropes of 'poker faces' and guessing outcomes; it was beautifully worked.

I think it ended with them splitting the pot again - no losers here!

(also, another fan of the 'pulled on to the lap'. H.O.T.)
