I was really tempted to just leave some keymashy glee here, but that totally wouldn't express how awesome this is. adfgl;' SO AWESOME!

Okay, better now. I really liked this! AU's are always interesting, and this one was so compelling. I liked how you introduced all of them in familiar roles, and how well it worked for Jagr and Shanahan in particular. And, oh, the paragraph about their plans back home? Totally delightful.

It's so cool to read about Dubinsky and Zherdev, too. Oh, man, even in when they're in the middle of a war, and conducting a clandestine affair, there's something immediately recognizable about them. Which probably ties into how totally delightful it was to see the happy ending for this. I still have a big smile on my face from that, no lie.
