So, awhile back I went off on a rant about how I wish Terry Gilliam could have directed one of the HP films, as JKR had originally wished, but I knew it would never, ever, ever happen.  Stupid Hollywood.

Now, IMDB is reporting that Terry Gilliam is slated to direct Half-Blood Prince.  I understand that they were talking at one point about filming

I know, I know! I'd be beyond ecstatic if it happened! But I just can't believe that they'll ever hire Terry Gilliam. They hate his type, as their recent choices of directors has proven. Sigh.

That's exactly what IMDB's weakness is - anyone who is a member is allowed to post information on there, so false information gets posted all the time. I wouldn't believe a word of it until you hear something from Warner Brothers. IMDB can never be used as a reliable source - unless there's a more reliable source cited.

I had wondered why it was they got away with posting such ridiculous rumors in the past, but hadn't made the connection to their membership. Lordy! What a way to totally ruin their own credibility on that site!
